Does Glow Paint Need Sunlight to Charge?
No. Glow paint can charge using sunlight, indoor lighting, LEDs, or UV blacklights. UV light typically provides the fastest and brightest charging performance. Take note that Yellow or Green colored lights cannot charge glow products.
Can glow in the dark paint withstand rain and outdoor UV exposure?
Yes. Outdoor glow paint should be protected with a UV-resistant clear coat to improve weather resistance and reduce fading from sunlight exposure. Best protection is always clear Epoxy Resin coating.
How long does glow in the dark paint last and lifespan?
High-quality glow in the dark paint can glow for 8–12 hours after a full charge. Actual time depends on pigment quality, charging light, and paint thickness.. Brightness is strongest during the first hour and gradually fades through the night.
Lifespan of painted surfaces depend on environment and protection used.
Lifespan for glow powder (the raw material) is more than 10 years.
